The fortress is located in the north-west of the village of Achajur, on a hill 20 meters high, which covers an area of about a hectare. The hill is enclosed by a cyclopean fortress wall. During the excavations, several rooms and cellars were opened. Numerous pottery items, grain pits, weapons, sickles, pickaxes, casting molds, stone bull statue, mill and many other items dating from the VI-V centuries BC were discovered.
