Jukhtak Monastery is located 3 km north-west of Dilijan, on the right side of the road, on the slope of a forested hill. The monastery consists of two separate churches, Surb Astvatsatsin and Surb Grigor, and is surrounded by a cemetery. The name of the monastery is popular. Jukhtak has two churches (from which it got its name - "Jukht" means couple): St. Astvatsatsin and St. Gregory the Illuminator. There are inscriptions on the walls of the churches, in which the names Peter's Monastery and Gisheravank are mentioned.
