Dilijan Museum of Folk Art, Dilijan Branch of the State Museum of Folk Art of Armenia. Created in 1979 with the direct initiative and participation of artist and poet Hovhannes Sharambeyan.
History:
The museum is located in the center of Dilijan, near the river Aghstev. The last resident of the house was Hovhannes Sharambeyan, who initiated the building into a museum of folk art. In 1979 Hovhannes Sharambeyan donated his collection to the Dilijan Museum of Folk Art, supplementing the museum's fund. Traveling around different parts of Armenia, Sharambeyan has created a large collection of copper household items.
