Sharach Waterfall is located in the Tavush region southwest of Aygedzor village on the Khndzorut river. The river emerges from the northern and eastern slopes of the Miapor range and joins the Aghnja River from 15 meters high.

Despite being so completely off the beaten track, the Sharach Waterfall is one of the most beautiful spots in Tavush Region. The waterfall is tall, cool, and refreshing. Even the road that leads to the Aygedzor village is breathtakingly beautiful not to mention the hike itself.

The route to the Sharach Waterfall is surrounded by magnificent hills covered in deep green grass and lush forests. It feels like a scene from a storybook.

Exploring Waterfall`s surroundings there is an opportunity to enjoy the wonder of Miapor Mountain Range at an altitude of 2000 m.

Part of the reason this waterfall remains a well-kept secret is that it’s hard to get to.  It will take about 2 hours to get to Aygedzor village from Ijevan city. And as for directions? -  Well, the best way to get there is to follow someone who knows the way.

The hike is 100 to 1 worth the effort and make this place truly memorable for anyone who loves to overcome challenges knowing that their efforts will pay off when they finally see one of wonders of the Tavush region.
