120-150-year-old trees grow in this sanctuary, the height of which is more than 20 meters, the diameter is about one meter. Arjatkhleni, in contrast to the ordinary tkhleni shrub, is a tall, dark-leafed tree with a dark gray deep cracked trunk. Arjatkhleni sanctuary is located near Getahovit village, in the basin of Khachaghbyur river, on the northern slopes of Ijjan mountain range. It was formed in 1958.
