Taxi services

There are many cars providing taxi services in the Tavush region. You will pay 100 drams for each kilometer, and the minimum seat fee is 400 drams.

You can find a comfortable car both at intersections and in crowded places. Note that the parking lot of the small buses going from Yerevan to Tavush is the Northern bus station.

Money and currency

If you are going to travel to the Tavush region, it means that you have managed to get acquainted with the Armenian dram. Only a small tip: currency exchange points can be found in different parts of the cities of the region. You can find all the exchange rates of the Armenian dram on www.cba.am.

Minibuses

There are a number of advantages to traveling by minibus, first you will get acquainted with the locals. We assure you that on the way you will get local friends who will replace your ” drawn” routes with new ones. They will be happy to suggest where to go or what to see.

Yerevan-Down direction 09:00, 10:00, 12: 00,14: 00,16: 00,17: 30 (moving from Yerevan bus station, not to be confused with the North bus station)

Ijevan-Vanadzor direction 11: 00,15: 00,17: 00 (moving from Ijevan bus station)

Vanadzor-Ijevan direction 08:30, 10:30, 14:30 (moving from Vanadzor bus station)

 Opening hours

The regional schedule will allow you to have an organized trip. Here we share the necessary information.

• Many churches can be visited from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• The markets of the region are open without days off
• Museums and galleries are open every day, except Mondays
• Banks are open from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm, on Saturday from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm
• Generally, cafes are open from 10 am  to midnight and restaurants are open from 11 am to midnight
• The shops open at 10 am and close between 7 and 10 pm

 Mobile phones

As soon as you arrive in Armenia, we are sure you got acquainted and got a mobile connection. Vivacell, Ucom, and Beeline are widely available to everyone. SIM cards can be recharged at phone repair points. The cards provide a powerful 3G or 4G internet connection.
