TEVRA is a special guest house with its own production of herbal teas and a tea house for tasting. Visitors can stay in the cottages here and taste the variety of TEVRA phyto-teas.

Why choose TEVRA?

TEVRA’s geographical location and history make it special. It is located on the hill of Tevrakar, 300 m away from the M4 highway. TEVRA has a nice garden and six cottages, serving as teahouse and accommodation for overnight stay. The annual herb growing area in front of the cottages enables the visitor harvest the Armenian herbs they like, steep for tender taste and relish it while enjoying the magnificent view of Ijevan and seven nearby villages from the height of Tevakar.

How was TEVRA started?

Since 2000 TEVRA has been engaged in collecting, storing, and processing, followed by the launch of production phase. Necessary equipment for tea production was purchased. The production process was completed by setting up a teahouse-tasting hall. You can taste on-site what is produced here.

TEVRA’s bronze age history

The Tevrakar fortress is located on the heights of Tevrakar cliffs. It is a military structure with its ruins found in 2016. Collected artifacts hint that the fortress dates to the 7-th-5th centuries BC. There is some evidence speaking to its Bronze-age history. It is the historical area which turned into a unique spot for those who would like to discover the homeland while relishing the tea-drinking.
