Dedicated to connoisseurs of fine drinks!
“All you need is love. But a little wine never hurt”
– unknown.
If you love enotourism, you are in for a new discovery – the “Akol” Winery Manson in Dilijan. It is a cozy estate founded over 30 years ago by Nikolay Avetisyan, whose orchards became the basis for producing unique drinks. In 2018, Nikolay’s son decided to start producing natural juices using the cold pressing method without water, sugar, and other additives. Apples, quinces, grapes, and pomegranates reveal their taste qualities and enrich the juice with a unique aroma that can be stored for up to two weeks.
Every year, the team of winemakers creates a unique collection of alcoholic beverages “Hndzan”, carefully selecting the best grape varieties and fruits from all regions of Armenia. The selection of wines and fruit vodkas impresses with its variety, where everyone will find a drink to their taste. Among the wines are red dry “Areni”, “Milagh”, “Milagh” and “Karmrahyut”, pink “Hamburg Muscat”, white dry “Lalvari”, fruit “Cherry”, “Quince” and “Pomegranate”, as well as unique apple liqueur wine. Equally impressive is the selection of distillates – vodkas, of which there are 10 varieties.
It is worth noting “Tskey” separately – an infusion on grape vodka with herbs, roots, and honey. Imagine a cozy autumn day, a charming estate, fruit orchards, an apiary, and an unforgettable gastronomic adventure. This is a piece of Tuscany hidden in the greenery of Dilijan National Park.
Be sure to treat yourself to a cozy day at the “Akol” winery, learn about the traditions of winemakers and the history of the Avetisyan family, about wine production. If you cannot spend a whole day out of town, be sure to visit the flagship store “Hnatzan” in the heart of Dilijan. Here you can enjoy exquisite wines, and children can taste natural juices. Try different types of alcoholic products and even take part in master classes, wine painting, and other interesting events.
