According to historical data was founded in 5
th century. Till present time saved dilapidated church is taken for built in 10th century by official papers. The settlement has been collapsed during Mongol-tatar’s campaigns in 1220’s. The village has not typical club-house and library. There were 3 dead men from the village during interethnic war.

Barekamavan

Barekamavan borders to Azerbaijan’s villages ( Kyamarlu, Ghaymakhlu, Albayramlu ). Barekamavan was called Kyurml, Dostlu and since 1978 renamed Barekamavan. Studies improve that this territory has been populated since ancient times. Through the settlement passed the Babylon-Assyria trade-route. During foreign companies the village has been ruined a few times. In V-VIIcc here has been built remembering monument with cupola and a heathen temple.

Berdavan village of Tavush marz was called ttandzor, Ghalach in past. It is mentioned since 3
rd century. Ghalacha renamed Berdavan in 1982. Due to the earthquake in 1997 many public and living houses were injured for different degrees.

Koti settlement is the biggest village of Tavush marz. In past it was the center of Koghbapor district of Gugarats state. The first written mention belongs to 368 year ( Movses Khorenatsi, Pavstos Buzand ). But the founding year regards to 1
st year B C. The viilag eis rich with historical monuments. Till 1937 here operated St. Astvatsatzin church. In territory of the settlement are ruins of Mshkavank, Tavarayeghtsi, Vardgyugh, Lomus and other churches. 3 bridges built on Koghbaget river flowing through the village connect 2 parts of the settlement.

There is not correct data about ancient settlements. But Mshkavank and St Sargis churches(13
th century) built near the town, and Berdavan’s Gharichakar castle prompt that this territory has been populated since old times. Till Soviet system was called Barana. During the years of fights Noyemberyan peoples took active part defending borders of our country. There were 15 dead and 4 wounded men during it. The earthquake in 1997 and bombing in 1992-1994s many public and dwelling houses has been collapsed and injured.
